From West Lyon High School:
To help keep our school buses clean, safe, and comfortable for all students, we want to make you aware of a new policy regarding food and beverages on our buses.
Effective immediately, students will not be allowed to bring or consume food or beverages on the bus. We kindly ask families to avoid sending breakfast, snacks, fast food, or drinks with students when they will be riding school transportation. Water bottles are OK.
This policy will help us keep our buses clean, reduce spills and messes, minimize distractions for our drivers, and avoid concerns related to food allergies.
We understand there may be unique circumstances that require an exception, and those situations can be addressed with school administration as needed.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we work to provide a safe and positive transportation experience for all of our students.
